Learning Task 2: ILO2: Reflect as a Pre-Service Teacher
In your blog post, respond to at least three (3) of the questions below:
1. What does this school environment teach learners—intentionally or unintentionally?
This school environment intentionally helps learners become responsible and goal-oriented individuals. It guides them in achieving their goals and provides the academic knowledge they need in different fields. Unintentionally, it also teaches learners important social values such as respect, cooperation, and good communication. Through daily interactions, students learn how to socialize, manage relationships, and treat others with respect within the school community.
2. How does the physical space support or hinder learning?
The physical space supports learning when resources and materials are available and accessible, allowing students to focus and work collaboratively. However, learning can be hindered when the environment includes negative factors such as bullying, discrimination, or fear of being judged, which may affect students’ confidence and participation.
3. How does this environment shape your identity as a future teacher?
This environment has shaped me to become a more proactive and responsible future teacher. It made me realize the importance of maintaining and managing the classroom, implementing rules fairly, and closely monitoring students’ learning and behavior to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
